Crisis workers serve as the residential counselors for a specified number of residents conducting intakes and discharges for the program. Crisis workers will work with clients on topics including personal hygiene and selfcare skills money management and budgeting symptom management relapse prevention healthy eating use of public transportation and transporting problem solving and conflict resolution and other interventions as necessary running therapeutic groups to further enhance life skills in these areas. The crisis worker will make referrals for clients monitor and distribute medication maintain unit facility as required and complete routine paperwork to ensure the program meets the standards.I. Major Responsibilities:
1. Provides support and guidance to youth and families experiencing crisis.
2. Assists in the development of risk management/safety plan.
3. Refers youth and families to support services.
4. Acts as a bridge between families agencies and community supports.
5. Assures families full involvement in crisis intervention services including teams adherence to family voice and choice.
II. Position Qualifications:
License/Certification/Education:
Required:
1. Bachelors degree in psychology counseling or social work.
2. Must be able to pass a CORI background check.
3. Current valid USissued drivers license and driving is a requirement.

1. One year of psychology counseling social work or related experience.
