Masters degree in social work Psychology or Marriage Family and Child Counseling from an accredited college or university
OR Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or psychiatric technology required.
Two (2) years direct service experience with the mentally ill preferably adults.
Two (2) years supervisory experience in a health care setting.
California Registered Intern Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) OR Licnesed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) OR Marriage Family and Child Counselor (LMFT) preferred.
Valid California LVN or LPT license.
Valid California Drivers License
Meets agency driver eligibility criteria
BLS CPR/First Aid
How you will make a difference:
This position has primary responsibility for implementing directing and supervising the program staff who provide therapy case management counseling and rehabilitation and groups. The Program Director shall be on the premises to manage and administer the program component of the facility in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The Program Director shall continue operations and carry out Administrator responsibilities during any absence of the Administrator.
Division/Program Overview:
The Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) is a place where people experiencing a mental health crisis can go to be stabilized. These facilities operate 24/7 to provide crisis stabilization. It can be compared to an Urgent Care Center where people often go for a medical emergency instead of going to the hospital ER.
Crisis stabilization service
Up to 16 adults (ages 18 and up) and four adolescents (ages 13 to 17)
Doctors nurses therapists peer counselors
24/7 Outpatient Crisis Program
Patients may stay up to 24 hours. Designed to prevent psychiatric hospitalizations the CSU will help clients to stabilize and will also provide referrals to other needed services. Transportation is provided as needed.
