POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Manager Procurement
Reports To: Director of Strategic Sourcing
Functional Unit: Finance

THE CHALLENGE
Fueled by growth of the company the Purchasing Manager serves as an administrative resource focusing on support of vendor relations purchasing inventory management and strategic sourcing for the company. This position reports to the Director of Strategic Sourcing and helps Site Managers maintain their assets and works with various corporate departments and operations teams to efficiently maintain the companys assets.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the procurement process for the organization including developing and executing procurement strategies managing supplier relationships negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Interface procurement strategies and processes with relevant department to provide effective procurement support across all of Onward
- Develop metrics for Procurement and Strategic sourcing activities
- Manage process for new supplier and records of current suppliers
- Manage procurement related systems including Maximo and Workday
- Support budget and financial reporting
- Manage all escalated contract negotiations quotes or suppliers
- Train coach and develop Procurement team
- Special Projects
THE PROFILE TO SUCCEED
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or Business Administration preferred with 47 years of experience. Applicable years of experience may substitute for degree.
- Experience with accounting processes purchasing and supply chain.
- Understanding of maintenance management systems is preferred such as Maximo and Workday.
- Adept with Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word Excel Power Point)
- Strong analytical and critical thinking capability.
- Selfstarter with ability to make decisions and take necessary actions without specific direction.
- Effective time management and organizational skill; keen multitasking capabilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a crossfunctional team.
THE PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to accomplish physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to stand walk talk hear and close and distance vision capability.
- Ability to sit climb or balance stoop kneel and/or crouch.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Ability to travel up to 30%.

THE WORK ENVIRONMENT
The position functions in a smoke and vapingfree professional office environment. The role routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as laptop computer phone and scanner/photocopier. Noise levels can be moderate to high when visiting job sites and may contain light to heavy equipment vehicles small to large equipment materials communication equipment and tools.
