Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Drop Bury Technician for an ASAP start in Chicago IL. This is a 1099 contractor position focused on installing and boring coaxial or fiber cables underground for residential and commercial properties.

Responsibilities:

Drop Bury Work: Install conduit and cables from tap or MST to customer premises.
Complete daily reports on work completed or pending with detailed notes.
Restore customer/public property to its original condition postinstallation.
Obtain necessary permits and follow all utility regulations.
Install cables and conduit at a minimum depth of 12 inches or as specified.
Ensure proper weatherproofing identification tags and security devices are in place.
Communicate with customers leaving door tags when unavailable and verifying installation routes.
Underground Boring: Perform boring operations ensuring conduit is installed at a minimum depth of 12 inches.

Requirements:

At least 1 year of experience as a Drop Bury Technician.
Ability to operate trenching and boring machinery.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Strong customer service skills with a focus on quality and professionalism.
Valid Drivers License Social Security and clear background check.
Vehicle Requirement: Minivan pickup truck or SUV.
