Management Analyst I
100% Onsite
Ability to Obtain HHS Public Trust
Washington D.C.

Nationwide IT Services is seeking a parttime Management Analyst I to support the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Civil Rights (OCR). The candidate will provide mission support services for policy analysis and provide recommendations and advice regarding the development and implementation of OCRs mission.

The Office for Civil Rights (OCR) a staff division at the HHS Office of the Secretary ensures
that individuals receiving services from HHSfunded programs are not subject to unlawful
discrimination that civil rights laws promote health equity in HHS funded and administered by
HHS to the extent possible that regulated entities comply with applicable privacy and security
requirements promulgated under HIPAA and HITECH and individuals can exercise their rights
to access their health information and can trust in the privacy and security of their health
information. OCR carries out the HHS mission of improving the health and wellbeing of all
Americans and providing essential human services. By promoting health equity and protecting
the right of individuals to access their health information while protecting the privacy and
security of this information OCR helps empower peoples health care decisionmaking and
helps ensure the integrity of the health care system both of which promote better health
outcomes for the Nation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide mission support and policy analysis services to the OCR staff in developing case related guidance for frontline OCR investigators and makes recommendations regarding regional operations to ensure consistency in compliance activities and application of policies and administration.
  • Conduct and analyses HHS programrelated research.
  • Provides general administrative and analytical support to the divisions and/or regions.
  • Develops a system for tracking the goals and accomplishments of the divisions and/orregions.
  • Develop spreadsheets analyze information and provide reports. The spreadsheetshould track complaints information about covered entities and relevant stakeholders andinformation needed to meet reporting requirements for OCR.
  • Interfaces with appropriate staff within OCR to get needed information and arrangemeetings.
  • Provides logistical support for division and/or regional activities.
Job Qualifications:

Minimum educational experience is an associate degree from an accredited university plus one year of specialized experience in a field which equips the applicant with the knowledge skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
  • Ability to obtain and retain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Understand disability discrimination or the service needs of a person with disabilities.
  • Ability to work well with a team in a highvisibility fast paced environment.
  • Flexibility in balancing competing and new priorities with strong analyticcommunication and writing skills.
  • Proactive and operate with minimal guidance while understanding intent.
  • Understanding of the public health or healthcare system/field.
Combination of Education and Experience:
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position. Experience must be equivalent to four years of specialized experience equivalent to the GS9/11 level in the Federal Government.
