Job Description

The Gordon School is a racially diverse nursery through eighthgrade allgender independent school in East Providence RI. The curriculum is rooted in multicultural practice and social justice with an emphasis on developing intellectual leadership active imagination and a childs naturally inquisitive nature. Students are challenged and inspired to be active workers toward their own education and teachers strive to develop meaningful relationships with each child and are seeking a parttime Spanish teaching associate to work with children aged 3 to 6 years old. This is a 10month position involving regular weekly teaching hours. The role involves integrating Spanish language instruction into a playbased sensoryrich and developmentally appropriate early childhood curriculum. The teacher will collaborate closely with early childhood educators and other members of the Spanish department to create a nurturing and immersive language ideal candidate will have a progressive understanding of early childhood pedagogy and possess a willingness to collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure the social emotional and academic wellbeing of students.
