Job Description
Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose California building an allelectric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing manufacturing and operating an allelectric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

What youll do:
As an Engineering Technician EWIS you will work closely with engineers and technicians to support the assembly integration and testing of Electrical Wiring and Interconnect Systems (EWIS) for our eVTOL aircraft. You will play a key role in ensuring product quality troubleshooting issues and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings schematics modification documents and test procedures.
- Build and route wiring harnesses from detailed schematics and work instructions including connector termination crimping soldering and quality checks.
- Set up and maintain specialized tooling jigs and fixtures for harness routing while following strict aerospace safety protocols (including ESD precautions).
- Conduct continuity checks operational verifications and data acquisition testing.
- Troubleshoot and rectify electrical wiring issues on the shop floor performing rootcause analysis and quickturn repairs or modifications.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing engineers design teams and quality inspectors to improve processes and overall build efficiency.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure adherence to industry safety and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for testing troubleshooting and repair activities.
What you need:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the aerospace and/or automotive industry as an engineering technician.
- Associates degree or certification in a field of engineering technology (4 years of experience can substitute for education requirements)
- Experience with wire harness fabrication highvoltage wiring batteries and electric motor controllers.
- Proficiency in standard aerospace wiring practices (wire stripping crimping soldering)
- Knowledge of aircraft safety procedures tool control foreign object debris (FOD) prevention and industry regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings engineering instructions and FAA guidelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across various teams.
- Strong problemsolving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced highpressure environment with shifting priorities.
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds work in confined spaces and perform tasks that may expose you to hazardous materials
Bonus Qualifications:
- Knowledge of IPC 610/620 o NASASTD8739 & AC43.13B standards.
- Experience in ComputerAided Design software (CAD) such as SolidWorks Siemens NX Catia Etc.
- A&P certification or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with electric aircraft aircraft configuration management and FAA conformity.
- New Product Development experience in Aerospace & Aviation
