JOB TITLE:Security Training Specialist
UNIT/DIVISION:Security Division SEC DUTY STATION (City Country):Rome Italy
The position is established for WFP Security Division in Rome Italy
The position reports to the Chief of Policy and Chief of Policy and Enabling Services
Under direct supervision of the Chief of Policy and Chief of Policy and Enabling Services the candidate will act as the Security Training Specialist focused on designing developing and delivering facetoface and online security trainings for WFP personnel globally. The primary focus of the candidate will be raising staff security awareness promotion of security culture improving capacity and preparedness of staff to respond effectively to prevailing and emerging threats towards WFP staff assets and operations.
Following are the specific duties and responsibilities of the Security Training Specialist:
Support in developing and delivering security training programmes that aim to enhance staff security capacity in dealing with threats and other security challenges in the field;
Develop and deliver Interagency Security training programmes that aim to enhance services to UN personnel and to increase capacity of staff to mitigate risk of sexual and genderbased violence;
In conjunction with the WFP Regional Bureaus perform a periodical training needs assessment and analysis with special focus on WFP field offices;
Support in developing and delivering security training programmes that will be delivered and administrated through WFP Learning Management System. This includes development online learning platforms scenarios and simulation exercises;
Identify and develop new learning solutions for WFP Security Staff;
Advise on gender inclusion with the security training and courses delivered by the SEC Unit;
Act as Agency coordinator of WSAT delivery (WSAT SCOLT) and other trainings;
Actively represent SEC in all SCOLT matters;
Support other WFP divisions and field offices implementing elearning courses and other learning solutions: when appropriate;
Coordinate SEC and UNSMS courses delivered through WFPs platforms;
Act as main LMS content administrator for all type of learning solutions: development of new learning solutions maintenance bridging testing publication reporting and evaluation;
Support the SEC Learning and Development Unit in the acquisition of new training technologies and provision of best practices advice on etools technologies and specific expertise;
Maintain the training nominations correspondence and certification ensuring that they are up to date;
Ensure that all training formalities are met in accordance the global standards;
Perform other relevant duties specified by the Chief of Policy and Enabling Services.
Full completion of all tasks given within contract period.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: University Degree in Adult Education Media Communications ELearning Design Learning Management or relevant fields
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of relevant working experience. Minimum of 5 years working experience in the humanitarian sector. Good experience in Training & Capacity Development and in Learning Management Systems including in creating and maintaining elearning courses.
Knowledge & Skills:
Knowledge of UN and WFP security related policies. Familiar with the UN Security guidelines for women the Security Management guidelines on gender considerations. Specific knowledge in Information and communication technologies. Knowledge in email applications text and data elaboration WORD EXEL software for presentation POWERPOINT and elearning relevant development tools: Articulate Adobe Captive.
Languages: Proficiency in English. Working knowledge of another UN language is an asset.
