We are looking for a passionate Backend Developer with a curiosity about understanding the tech stack. You have good analytical capabilities and you write wellstructured code. You are comfortable learning about performance and scalability in a complicated codebase.

Join us and work directly on the meta team to help us craft a new unannounced game for Blizzard hand in hand with our creative art and other tech teams. We cant wait to meet you!

Responsibilities:

• Be an essential part of the backend team developing and maintaining the backend technology that powers our games.

• Implement and optimize scalable highperformance backend services using Java.

• Develop key APIs for player progression and the ingame economy ensuring smooth integration with game systems.

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of backend services working to improve existing codebases and architecture for longterm stability and performance.

• Collaborate with the backend team to implement stable highquality solutions in line with the teams strategy.

• Operate within a DevOps environment where you monitor and manage the code you deploy to production.
  

Minimum Requirements

• Proficiency in Java for backend development with the ability to implement and maintain scalable systems.

• Knowledge of the Spring Framework for building managing and securing backend services.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.

• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as Cassandra and experience working with largescale backend infrastructure.

• Experience working in UNIX environments and using Git for version control.

• Experience with Gradle build systems.

• Familiarity with Jenkins or other CI systems for automation.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

• Strong communication skills to work effectively within the backend core team and across departments.

• Passion for gaming with the ability to contribute to fastevolving highimpact projects.

• Exposure to C# and the Unity engine.
