Job Description
Candidate Requirements:
Masters degree or higher in nursing documentation of completion of accredited acute care pediatric nurse practitioner (PNP)
Prefer dual certification for both primary and acute care pediatric nurse practitioner to function independently in a high acuity fast paced pediatric cardiac intensive care unit caring for patients with congenital heart disease including both presurgical and postsurgical patients acquired heart disease and postsurgical adult congenital heart disease
Current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse
Current Texas licensure as an APRNNP
Required basic life support (BLS) certified
Required pediatric advanced life support (PALS) certified
Preferred adult cardiac life support (ACLS) certified
Cardiac experience preferred but not required
