POSITION PURPOSE
To support staff and students in a variety of educational capacities during DDSD Summer School Program and in preparation to pursue a career in education.
NATURE AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Support summer school programming in a variety of capacities. Tasks will include:
Support certified teachers & classified staff in facilitating ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT morning programming for elementary middle or high school students. Tasks will include:
Plan & lead afternoon YOUTH DEVELOPMENT & EQUITABLE ACCESS activities for elementary middle and high school students in the form of handson inquirybased projectbased and arts integrated learning to support students mental emotional and social wellbeing. Tasks will include:
Attend & complete weekly tasks & assignments for PCC Education Courses offered through Multnomah Educators Rising (MER) Summer Academy.
QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Moderate degree of physical stamina with frequent lifting of up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 50
pounds required in the physical assistance of students with special needs. Ability to move freely to various locations
within the classroom and other supervisory settings (cafeteria/playground). Frequent standing walking sitting and
bending. Exposure to noise and activity of a school setting. Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
