JOB SUMMARY
Performs a variety of tasks related to receiving and stamping new textbooks purchased by the Single Textbook Adoption Program.
Additional Work Days/Hours
Based on the assignment the following additional work days and/or hours may be required as needed:
- Ability to work flexible schedules
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Open and unpack shipments of textbooks.
- Review purchase orders packing slips and shipments to determine that the order is correct and complete.
- Document order receipts and inform the schools textbook manager regarding the status of each purchase order.
- Stamp each student textbook with school stamp and rotational numbering stamp.
- Organize books and/or move them to various classrooms bookrooms or departments as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned within the same classification or lower.

Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate required.
Experience
Knowledge Skills Abilities and Other Characteristics
- Ability to read purchase orders and determine if the correct books and quantities are received.
- Able to perform clerical tasks related to managing receipt of textbooks and checking that all orders are complete.
- Ability to organize materials for distribution.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with diverse populations.
- Demonstrated proficiency with business technology applications (e.g. Video/Web Conferencing Microsoft Office Suite Word Excel Outlook and/or PowerPoint preferred).
Licenses and Certifications
Employee must retain active licenses certifications and enrollment as a condition of employment.
