Position Summary:
The Grant Specialist I Accounting plays a key role in the financial postaward administration of sponsored research at Rice University. This position is responsible for preparing and executing timely and accurate federal drawdowns invoicing sponsors in accordance with contractual terms and managing the accounts receivable lifecycle for externally funded awards. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with federal regulations (e.g. Uniform Guidance) sponsor requirements and university policies.

Further duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on the needs and goals of the Research and Cost Accounting (RCA) department and Rice University.
Workplace Requirements:
This position is offered as a hybrid role combining both inoffice and remote work to provide flexibility and support collaboration. The hybrid work arrangement will start after the first 90 days of employment. PerRice policy 440work arrangements may be subject to change.
Hiring Range: The expected annual salary range starts at $59500 depending on experience and qualifications. This is an exempt (salaried) position under FLSAand not eligible for overtime.
