ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs software upgrades and new software installation both proactively and in response to requests
from users of systems including any necessary patches to database systems and applications to ensure
continuing stable and secure operation
- Analyzes and diagnoses problems reported to the help desk; escalates support issues
- Implements monitors and maintains SQL data replication and high availability
- Implements periodically tests and reviews appropriate data access and security measures including
access control audit backup/restore and system rebuild & recovery processes
- Provides an adhoc support service to users of all computer systems troubleshooting and resolving
database problems
- Creation of complex SQL queries
Preferred:
- Experience working with cloud database platforms such as Azure SQL Database
- Familiarity with cloudnative tools for monitoring scaling and backup (e.g. CloudWatch Azure Monitor GCP Operations Suite).
- Exposure to infrastructure as code concepts or tools (e.g. Terraform CloudFormation) is a plus.
Experience Details Required/Preferred
24 years relevant work experience
Must have excellent communication skills
