We currently have an opening for a Accounting Operations Manager in our Clarksburg MD Headquartersto support the Controller and Assistant Controller inaccounting operations for a multibusiness line international shared services environment. This position reports to the Controller.

Responsibilities

Thales Defense & Security Inc.s Accounting Operations Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable/Billing Payroll and Travel
  • Manage the administration and accounting for the for PCard and Travel Programs
  • Hands on operation of G/L and associated processes
  • G/L account analysis
  • Preparation/Review of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Perform month end and yearend financial close activities
  • May support monthly actual versus budget analysis
  • Assist in the compilation of financial information for the annual tax provision and tax packages
  • May support the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Year end audit support
  • Assists with the implementation maintenance and review of internal controls and corporate policies and procedures
  • Support other requirements as necessary

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • BS in Accounting.
  • 10 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • ERP Financial System experience (G/L A/P AR) required. SAP S/4 Hana preferred.
  • MS Office applications required.
  • Experience in the government contracting industry preferred (Manufacturing and Services).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required Fluent in English
  • Proven ability and desire to work effectively as a team member.
  • Strong individual contributor selfstarter as well as a team leader. This is a hands on position.
  • Ability to effectively manage employees in a shared services environment.
  • Experience in defenserelated electronic manufacturing and familiarity with Department of Defense (DOD) contracts or compliance preferred.
  • Experience supporting accounting or operations across multiple manufacturing locations preferred.
  • Ability to comply with all Company guidelines policies procedures and embrace Company Core Values.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations operating policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing hiring training and developing employees; planning assigning and directing work; performance appraisals rewarding and providing for employee discipline when required; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Active mentoring and development of staff is critical element of the supervisory responsibilities.

The annualized pay range for this role is $115542.00 $147637.00 USD along with a target incentive compensation plan (ICP) of 10%. The pay range provided is a good faith estimate representative of the experience level for the role described above. TDSI considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
