Engineer-In-Training I - Traffic, Pueblo or Co. Springs

CDOT for All

• Primarily 8:00 am 4:30 pm work hours MondayFriday;
• After a training period you may work a hybrid schedule with a combination of inoffice and remote work.
• Approximately 20% spent in the field 80% spent in the office.
• Travel required during work hours throughout Region 2 for meetings training and construction sites.
• May be required to work either day or night shift swing shift or graveyard shift depending on work assignment
• Required to operate CDOT vehicles.
• This position may be in close proximity to moving vehicles on construction sites.
• May be exposed to a number of weather conditions as well possibly being exposed to atmospheric conditions such as fumes dust odors etc.
• May be required to handle / use pavement paint and cleaning products

• If you are selected you must provide a copy of your transcript showing that an engineering degree has been conferred by the date of hire as a condition of employment.
• It is a CDOT condition of employment that individuals hired to the class of EngineerInTrainingI must obtain enrollment as an Engineer Intern by the Colorado State Board of Licensure for Architects Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors within three years of the initial appointment to the EIT I classification.
• It is a CDOT condition of employment that individuals hired to the class of EngineerInTraining must obtain registration as a Professional Engineer by the Colorado State Board of Licensure for Architects Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors within eight years of the initial appointment to the EIT classification.
• Must pass a preemployment screening which may include social security number trace criminal records check public court records check educational records and driving records checks. More information in the supplemental information section.
• A current valid drivers license is required for this position as it requires operating a state or personal motor vehicle to perform one or more essential functions of the position.

• Experience withMicroStation and Open Roads or equivalent design softwareprograms.
• Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Access) Gmail Google Apps and the ability to quickly learn other software systems.
• Ability to be selfmotivated and actively seeks out opportunities to learn and contribute to the department.
