Position: Elementary School Science Teacher (202526 Opportunity)Location: Boston MA (Hyde Park Campus)Start date: August 1 2025Match Charter Public School is a free highperforming charter public school in Boston. We are a PreK12 school serving 1250 students. Our mission is to prepare students for success in college and careers in order to achieve economic security and mobility. OVERVIEW OF ROLEOur elementary school (Match Community Day) is accepting applications for a Science Teacher to start in theschool year. The position is based at our elementary school campus on 100 Poydras St. in Hyde Park. The compensation for Match teaching positions ranges from $61812$98899 and is based on a candidates prior years of teaching experience. Match offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes 90% coverage of health insurance costs and student loan repayment assistance. This position includes a number of essential responsibilities including (but not limited to):Teach elementary level science classes to one grade of students;Develop daily lessons and assessments aligned with Matchs Science curriculum in collaboration with department colleagues and leadership team members;Serve as a integral part of the Science department including covering additional science courses in other grades when needed due to teammates absences;Uphold high academic and behavioral expectations for students and provide lots of support for getting students there; Participate actively in Matchs coaching and professional development programming;Assist with school programming as needed during noninstructional time (e.g. arrival lunch and dismissal); and Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the Match Charter Public School communityQUALIFICATIONS Research has shown that people of color and women are less likely to apply for jobs if they dont believe they meet every one of the qualifications described in a job description. We are looking for applicants who:have at least two years of fulltime experience as classroom or special education teacher preferably in an urban education setting;hold a valid and appropriate license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education or can meet the licensure requirements within a year of date of hire;believe that all students can and will succeed;desire to continually improve their practice as a teacher by taking and implementing feedback; have a proven record of student success and achievement.
