Teacher Assistant working with Post HS Students ages 1822 in the community and school setting.. Instruction focuses on employment social and independent living skills. Transition Program is located in the District : Assist teachers in the special education and regular education classroom with daily activities which support student learning. This is determined by the students IEPs and the directives of the DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be the teacher in routine classroom an understanding of assigned students learning initiative and creativity with students and their through with prescribed behavioral management classroom environment to support student learning as directed by the students work; photocopies materials; keeps logs and records as directed by theteacher; writes lessons/notes on the IEPs of each assigned accommodations on IEP (ie. taking student notes reading to studentadministering tests orally etc.).Act as a laision between regular education teacher and special education teacher toensure continuity of to assist students in specific subject areas according to the requirements of theIEPs and the demands of the content area content area requirements are noted in students plan book and the teacher isaware of same and ready to assist the special education and regular education teachers asneeded to support student RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises students in the absence of the teacher for brief discrete periods of REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
