Plant Engineer/Specialist Boiler Systems
Center North Dakota
Overview of the Role:
Join an established power generation facility as a Plant Engineer/Specialist focusing on boiler systems. In this critical role youll ensure the efficient and safe operation of coalfired power generation equipment while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and coordinate installation of new and replacement boiler equipment
- Create construction drawings and specifications for plant process equipment
- Troubleshoot existing systems to resolve safety and production challenges
- Monitor boiler operating conditions and manage maintenance activities
- Analyze plant data and recommend efficiency improvements
- Collaborate with consultants and contractors to accomplish engineering objectives
- Identify technical training needs and initiate capital and O&M projects
- Ensure safety compliance and regulatory adherence
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Plant Engineer: Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- Plant Specialist: Associate degree in an applicable technical field (welding background preferred)
- 25 years experience in a power plant setting (preferred)
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills
- Experience with coalfired power generation systems (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency with engineering software and documentation systems
