The Google DeepMind Impact Accelerator (GDI) has a unique role in GDM to develop solutions and resources built on GDMs technologies and expertise that extend the benefits to humanity. We are a path to real world impact beyond ABC products and services or making our research public.
The Role
This role is a six month fixedterm contract. Working in partnership with GDIs leadership team you will develop and be responsible for building our AI product portfolio focused on the social impact of Google DeepMinds generative AI technology (such as Gemini).
We have one early stage project in this area and your primary focus during this contract will be to select and propose a second. This will involve market research internal organisational research use case analysis stakeholder engagement and product definition.
This is an evolving and dynamic area of Google DeepMind with a collaborative diverse group that partners closely with a wide variety of teams across Alphabet and a range of external partners.
Key responsibilities:
- Work alongside research engineering and partnership teams to identify and define opportunities to use Google DeepMind technology to solve realworld problems and work closely with them to determine the best approach and execution plans for prioritised ideas.
- Use your influence to bring together and motivate individuals (including Scientists and Engineers) from across GDM Units to work on projects related to generative AI applications that benefit humanity
- Scope and prototype products incorporating ideas from stakeholders and partners and build and manage external product/deployment partnerships where relevant.
- Drive strategic deep dives across GDMs generative AI technologies to assess potential define use cases and routestomarket and prioritise opportunities. Partner with GDI and GDM leadership to define communicate and build a plan for delivery on these strategic priorities.
- Define metrics and achievements to accelerate discovery evaluate the success of programs against their aims goals and objectives and share lessons and insights across the wider business.
- Build relationships and collaborate with multiple stakeholders internally and externally.

About You
In order to set you up for success as a Portfolio Lead at Google DeepMind we look for the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrable experience and knowledge of real world AI applications including supporting teams to drive large scale programs from inception to delivery in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Confidence engaging researchers and engineers. While not necessarily an ML / AI specialist yourself you are able to understand the considerations related to AI research and technologies.
- Product Management experience; crafting strategic product roadmaps from conception to launch and working with crossfunctional teams.
- Experience and a proven ability to collaborate with a variety of teams and partners.
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to work with both tech and nontech teams and senior leadership.
- A passion for Google DeepMinds mission and knowledge and excitement about AI and its potential for realworld impact.
