Role Overview:
As the Nights Manager you will be responsible for managing the overnight functions of the hotel ensuring smooth operations safety and compliance with all policies and legal requirements. This is a handson role requiring strong leadership excellent conflict resolution skills and a sound understanding of security health and safety and access control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a night team of 5 staff members ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Oversee all aspects of overnight operations including guest service daily financial reconciliation and endofday banking.
- Respond to and manage incidents guest complaints and emergencies using effective conflict resolution strategies.
- Maintain high levels of security and safety throughout the premises ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular checks of the building to ensure all areas are secure and any hazards are promptly addressed.
- Manage access control including monitoring entry points and ensuring only authorised personnel and guests are onsite.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and UK employment laws including working time regulations and GDPR.
- Complete accurate handovers for the day team and escalate any issues appropriately.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar nights or supervisory role within hospitality or a related field.
- Strong conflict resolution and problemsolving skills.
- Good working knowledge of building security and access control systems.
- Understanding of health & safety and emergency procedures in a commercial building environment.
- Ability to lead and motivate a small team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional approach at all times.
Desirable:
- Valid SIA licence or previous experience working in a SIAregulated environment.
