Shape the future of Indigenous storytelling in media.
Join RadioCanadas innovative paid training program.
As a bridge between First Nations Inuit and Mtis and RadioCanadas regional stations this unique training program will allow Indigenous communicators to share their voices on RadioCanadas various platforms across the country and contribute to better representation of First Peoples in the media.
Entirely virtual the paid training lasts 4 weeks (November 3 to November 28 2025) and will focus primarily on narrative storytelling. Throughout the training in addition to gaining practical knowledge from Indigenous and nonIndigenous trainers participants will have the opportunity to express themselves to tell their stories and to showcase their community language realities and successes.
The First Peoples Tell Us a Story program is aimed at all Frenchspeaking and Francophile Indigenous people who have foundational communication skills and can enrich RadioCanadas content across the country.
Participants will take the training from their preferred location in the country in their community if desired or at a RadioCanada regional station.
The Training
During the 4 weeks candidates will exchange and benefit from training with Indigenous and nonIndigenous professionals in the following areas:
narrative storytelling in general
photo narrative
digital narrative
audio narrative
video narrative
