About the role
The successful candidate is a seasoned project management professional with critical thinking skills with experience leading the successful project delivery of both large scope multidivisional projects and small divisional projects. This includes the ability to understand the project objectives and business needs anticipate and resolve issues as they arise create and monitor change management initiatives for projects. The position also requires building and maintaining excellent relations with all Business Partners.
What youll do
Advise and engage interdivisional and multilevel project team members to drive and achieve project objectives.
Understand the business needs and ensure solutions effectively align with business goals and objectives and improve business processes.
Accountable for project delivery through the effective management of the projects scope budget and timelines by following prescribed governance processes.
Develop detailed project plans including but not limited to project integration plans test plans communication plans risk plans training plans and promotion plans to ensure solutions are thorough and effective.
Provide business and technical expertise in all aspects of project management methodologies which are aligned with PMI principles.
Accountable for Business Partner Relationships across the organization on behalf of Member Experience & Pension Operations.
Track and report on project milestones and provide status reports to stakeholders.
Balance competing constraints such as scope quality schedule budget resources and risk.
Provide support with yearend activities and other business initiatives.
What you bring
Undergraduate degree/diploma in business or a related field.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent experience.
CSM and/or DASM certification is a strong asset.
Three (3) to five (5) years of recent handson experience in leading large scope multidivisional projects.
Demonstrated leadership skills with proven ability to manage influence and motivate teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Experience working in a team oriented collaborative environment.
Expert knowledge on Excel and Microsoft Project or another project management tool.
Experience working in Smartsheet is an asset.
Experience in pension plan administration finance or investment areas is a strong asset.
Strong time management prioritization organization skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Experience with change management is an asset.
Detailed oriented and analytical mindset.
