Must be at least 18 years old pass a comprehensive background check obtain an annual flu shot and provide certain medical documentation in order to work with Responsibility: Ensure a safe healthy learning environment for children ages 18 months5 years. TriCounty Community Action Agency is looking for energetic enthusiastic substitute teachers. Background knowledge in implementing curriculum tools and understanding of the Rhode Island Early Learning Standards is a plus!Specific Responsibilities: Providing an environment that is socially and emotionally supportive to children and their families. Assisting the coteacher as directed in conducting daily ageappropriate activities for the children. Helping with the necessary steps to implementing mealtime. Eating with and assisting children in the development of social and selfhelp skills and sound nutritional practices. Working alongside coteacher as directed in preparing setting up conducting and cleaning up daily ageappropriate activities for the : Experience working with children of this age group (18 months5 years). Preferred qualifications are: Associates Degree Early Childhood Education Infant/Toddler CDA or Preschool CDA. Knowledge of the Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Standards preferred. Special Qualifications: Be at least 18 years of age. CPR/First Aid Certified. If not certified TriCounty will pay for your certification! Must be able to work in a team environment with staff and families be creative and have good communication and leadership skills. Willingness to be flexible to meet the needs of the program.
