Position Summary:
We are seeking an energetic compassionate and certified SilverSneakers Instructor to lead group fitness classes designed specifically for our older adult members. This role is perfect for a passionate fitness professional who values connection movement and the joy of helping others age actively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead safe engaging and effective SilverSneakers group fitness classes.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment that promotes member participation and retention.
- Provide modifications and guidance to accommodate various fitness levels and physical limitations.
- Monitor participants for proper form and technique; provide corrections as needed.
- Build rapport with members to foster a sense of community and belonging.
- Maintain class attendance records and report feedback to club management.
- Ensure studio area is clean safe and ready for each class.
Qualifications:
- Current SilverSneakers Instructor Certification
- Group Fitness Instructor Certification (e.g. ACE AFAA NASM)
- CPR/AED Certification (required).
- Prior experience working with older adults is highly preferred.
- Friendly professional and motivating demeanor.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Parttime; weekday mornings preferred.
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience and certifications.
