DescriptionThe Sanitation Technician is a parttime temporary position working approximately 45 hours per week responsible for basic cleaning and laundry tasks inside FEMA travel trailers. This entrylevel role supports the cleanliness and readiness of trailers by performing light cleaning restocking supplies and laundering linens. Ideal for someone seeking minimal weekly hours and flexible work.
Essential Duties
- Perform basic cleaning of kitchens bathrooms and sleeping areas inside travel trailers.
- Sweep mop wipe down surfaces and remove trash.
- Wash dry fold and replace linens such as towels and bedding.
- Restock toiletries and basic supplies as needed.
- Report any noticeable damage or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Follow simple cleaning checklists and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Complete tasks independently and on time with minimal supervision.
- Perform other light duties as assigned.
Requirements - Prior experience in cleaning housekeeping or janitorial work preferred
- Ability to follow cleaning protocols and safety procedures
- Reliable selfmotivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be physically able to perform cleaning tasks including lifting bending and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite
- Ability to maintain a consistent weekly schedule (approximately 45 hours/week)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
