Job Description
This role supports AWS Data Center expansion strategy for already launched regions and will work very closely with business partners in determining longterm expansion strategies across a growing number of regions. In this role you will help lay the foundations to grow the AWS data center infrastructure footprint ensuring that the business has a viable and cost effective expansion path in assigned regions.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Demonstrated ability to influence business partners support thoughtful decisionmaking and adapt to a rapidly evolving environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with various business units across Amazon.
Strong excel financial modeling and analytical skills with proficiency in using data systems and tools to conduct efficient analyses.
Selfstarter with a keen attention to detail problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently in a fastpaced often ambiguous environment.
Strong project management and organizational skills navigating across competing priorities to meet deadlines and proactively communicate conflicts.
Key job responsibilities
Partner with the AWS Infrastructure Business Development team to provide strategic guidance on investments alternatives and deal negotiations for regional expansions
Perform discounted cash flow and P&L financial modeling. Ensure internal stakeholders are aligned with recommendations
Help prepare and deliver business reviews to senior management teams regarding progress and roadblocks to strategy execution
Drive monthend reporting and variance analysis of actual spend versus projection
Provide controllership and oversight of business case data integrity and approvals
Identify and lead projects to drive automation and process improvement and cost/operational efficiency.

Bachelors degree in finance accounting business economics or a related analytical field (e.g. engineering math computer science)
3 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
MBA or CPA
Knowledge of Tableau
Experience working with largescale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
2 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
2 years of identifying leading and executing opportunities to improve automate standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
