Under administrative direction of the Parks Manager and Deputy Director of Operations and Maintenance the Park Maintenance Supervisor plans supervises and monitors the maintenance of parks and facilities including landscaping irrigation restrooms play structures exercise equipment trails and other park amenities within their assigned geographical area. The Park Maintenance Supervisor also maintains and supervises the repairs of all City owned buildings and performs various construction duties. Building and structure repairs include maintenance to HVAC plumbing electrical systems and floor care. The supervisor is responsible for safe operations of employees and vehicles within his/her area. Supervisor identifies required training works to maintain and improve staff morale and addresses personnel issues promptly and fairly in accordance with established policies. Employee prepares and maintains complex and technical reports and records and assists with budget preparation process. The worker routinely has contact with the public contractors outside agencies and other departments which requires courtesy tact and diplomacy. Employee works as part of the overall Parks department and City team to provide support for a multitude of City sponsored special events throughout the year.
