This is a professional level job where incumbents perform data collection data input and related analytical work in support of the performance management system and auditing activities. Incumbents are expected to analyze information support special projects and provide recommendations in reports and presentations. Incumbents are expected to work directly with departments and divisions and consultants to assist the division in meeting scheduled deadlines for performance system updates and audits. Incumbents are expected to handle other administrative responsibilities within the division including but not limited to budget tracking records management and customer support functions.
Essential Duties:
Serves as a liaison with departments and divisions and other governmental officials or agencies County employees and/or other interested parties.
Prepares documentation creates reports and validates information for use by performance and auditing staff.
Prepares processes and maintains a variety of system data and/or reports related to assigned area of responsibility. Update/maintain user administration and access rights for the automated systems.
Prepares and gives presentations on specified topics.
Promotes divisional programs in support of staff departments and divisions and/or other interested parties.
Performs administrative activities in support of division.
Education/Experience and Licensure Requirements
(or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job):
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or a closely related field
Two years of professional auditing or analyst experience including one year of project management experience
Knowledge of:
Public administration principles;
Principles and practices of assigned area of responsibility;
Advanced mathematical principles;
Research and evaluation techniques;
Budgetary principles;
Applicable laws rules and regulations.
Skills in:
Operating a computer and applicable software;
Applying laws rules and regulations;
Analyzing and interpreting fiscal and statistical data;
Planning organizing analyzing and resolving problems;
Conducting research;
Preparing and giving presentations;
Performing advanced mathematical calculations;
Analyzing problems identifying alternative solutions projecting consequences of proposed actions and implementing recommendations in support of goals;
Prioritizing and assigning work;
Communication interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers supervisor the general public etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
Physical Requirements:
Positions in this class typically require: fingering talking hearing seeing and repetitive motions. Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.^*
