Our client in the automotive domain is currently looking for a partner to help them with Java development in our Cloud Native Transformation project.
More precisely they are doing Spring upgrades (Spring 3 to Spring 4) and migrating our applications deployed on WebSphere Application Server to Spring Boot applications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Upgrade existing Java applications from Spring 3 to Spring 4.3;
- Refactor and convert legacy applications to Spring Boot;
- Ensure applications are deployable on WebSphere Application Server;
- Prepare and test Spring Boot applications for containerized deployment using Docker and Kubernetes;
- Provide applicationlevel support during the deployment on Kubernetes (infrastructure handled by the client);
- Collaborate with the clients engineering and DevOps teams;
- Follow the clients base images and Dockerfile standards for containerization.
- Strong experience with Java and Spring Framework (Spring 3.0 and 4.0);
- Proven experience in Spring Boot application development and deployment;
- Familiarity with WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and deployment processes;
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production or migration contexts;
- Good understanding of microservices architecture and CI/CD practices;
- Comfortable working with WAR/EAR packaging and legacy systems;
- Ability to troubleshoot and support containerized applications in Kubernetes.
