Job Title: High School Chemistry Teacher

Job Summary: Clinton High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic High School Chemistry Teacher to join our science department. The ideal candidate will be passionate about chemistry education and committed to fostering a stimulating and supportive learning environment for all students. This position involves teaching a range of chemistry courses developing engaging lesson plans assessing student progress and collaborating with other faculty to enhance the overall educational experience.
About Clinton High School: Clinton High School is a public high school serving students in grades 912 in Clinton Oklahoma. Our school is part of Clinton Public Schools a district committed to providing a quality education to every student. We strive to empower students to reach their full potential and prepare them for success in college and careers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans aligned with the Oklahoma Academic Standards for Science specifically for chemistry.
- Instruct students in general and potentially advanced chemistry concepts including laboratory techniques and safety procedures.
- Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical social and emotional development of students.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Assess student learning regularly and provide timely constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of students progress and development.
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures in accordance with school and district policies.
- Prepare and maintain a safe orderly and wellequipped chemistry laboratory.
- Collaborate with other science teachers department heads and school staff to improve instructional practices and curriculum.
- Communicate effectively with students parents and colleagues regarding student progress and curriculum.
- Participate in faculty meetings professional development activities and schoolsponsored events.
- Stay current with developments in chemistry education and best practices in teaching.
