The Opportunity
Love office management and supporting college students The Engaged Learning and Career Action Center (ELCA) at Washington State University Vancouver is seeking an organized and dedicated individual to serve as their Administrative Assistant.
As an Administrative Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative and logistical support related to coordinating the daily operations of ELCA. This position is responsible for coordinating events logistics tracking budget expenditures and working with other staff members supporting ELCA events.
The Administrative Assistant will also perform the administrative support in Workday related to hiring processes financial monitoring and associated processes in addition to providing administrative support for the Reinstatement Program. You will be required to exercise independent judgment in interpreting and applying the Universitys academic and fiscal rules and regulations.
Percentage Breakdown of Job Functions:
30% Reception/Office Management
25% Event Planning and Program Coordination
25% Student Retention Support
15% Reinstatement Program
5% Other duties as assigned.

This is a fulltime (100% FTE) permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
This position works onsite on the WSU Vancouver campus. This position is not currently eligible for remote/hybrid work assignments.
Monthly Salary: $3477 to $3999 Range 40 Steps A to G Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance withWAC 35728.

Required Qualifications
High School graduation or equivalent three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in office/clerical secretarial bookkeeping accounting or general administrative work; OR equivalent education/experience.
Demonstrated computer software skills including databases spreadsheets and word processing.
Ability to effectively coordinate and organize work including prioritizing and managing projects with changing demands and working independently.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with people with a wide range of perspectives.
Ability to interact effectively with internal and external community members and customers to provide exceptional customer service.
