Job Description
Inpatient Responsibilities: Rounding on postop patients inpatient/ED consults OR
Job Responsibilities: Clinical Surgical Trauma/Orthopedic Call
Number of Physicians: 4
Number of Advanced Practice Providers: 7
Supervision of APP expected: Yes
Physician Nurse Ratio: 1 nurse/provider 3 cast techs/7 providers
Ancillary Staff per Provider: 3 Reception/7 providers 2 Surgery Schedulers/7 providers
Number of Exam Rooms per Provider: 2 exam rooms and 3 cast rooms
Medical Imaging: Yes
Lab & Pharmacy: Yes
Average Daily Hospital Practice Census: Mainly consults current avg hospital daily census 160 pts/day
Appointment Length: 1030 depending on new consult recheck postop or procedure
Demographics: Hub Hospital Serve 16 surrounding counties Population 200000
EMR: The clinics EMR is GE Centricity. The hospitals EMR is Epic. (The clinic wont be switching over to Epic until December)
Teaching Opportunity: IM and FM residency; PA student rotation
Services offered in the practice: Total hip knee and shoulder replacement. Hand wrist knee shoulder hip ankle and foot surgical procedures. Trauma injuries fracture care sports medicine and other disorders.
