Duties and Role:
Under the overall direction of the Service Owner and Service Delivery Manager the incumbent will perform duties such as the following:
- Administer configure and manage AWS services such as EC2 S3 RDS IAM and VPC.
- Provide Level 2/3 support for AWSrelated issues investigating and resolving operational problems in a timely manner.
- Provision and maintain virtual machines storage and databases on AWS ensuring high availability and performance.
- Manage and optimize AWS networking components like VPCs subnets route tables VPNs and Direct Connect.
- Automate the deployment and management of AWS resources using AWS CloudFormation Terraform or similar tools.
- Develop scripts (Python Bash PowerShell) to automate routine tasks such as instance management backups and scaling
- Perform other duties as may be required.
Requirements
Skill Knowledge & Experience:
- The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
- Have a graduate degree in Computer and Information Systems Technology or an equivalent level of qualification or professional accreditation by a related engineering Institute or professional body
- Experience with Amazon AWS cloud environment (IAM EC2 ALB Cloudfront Cloudformation WAF Monitoring Storage Cognito)
- Handson experience with Kubernetes clusters and Docker containers
- Experience with DevOps practices including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Proficiency in managing and securing VPC networks firewalls and access control.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch ELK Stack Prometheus)
- Be fluent English in both spoken and written.
