Welcome to Amazon Games Bucharest! Joining the ranks of the existing development teams in Orange County Montreal San Diego and Seattle were excited to expand Amazon Games commitment to creating and publishing incredible games and were on the lookout for talented folks to join us as we grow.
As a Game Frontend (UI) Artist youll create engaging user interfaces for our games. Youll design and implement UI elements like menus HUDs and icons that are both visually appealing and userfriendly. Working with designers and other artists youll ensure the UI fits the games style and enhances player experience. You should have strong graphic design skills experience with design software and knowledge of game UI/UX principles.
Key job responsibilities
Design and create visually appealing UI elements (menus HUDs icons) for games
Implement UI designs in game engines ensuring functionality and consistency
Collaborate with game designers and UX specialists to enhance player experience
Establish and maintain UI design standards for game projects
Mentor junior UI artists and contribute to team skill development
Iterate on designs based on player feedback and usability testing results
About the team
At Amazon Games our ambition is to create bold new experiences that foster community in and around our games. Our team of game industry veterans is developing and publishing live service AAA multiplayer games and developing original IPs including New World: Aeternum and an upcoming title based on The Lord of the Rings with our studios and teams in Seattle Orange County San Diego Montreal and Bucharest. Amazon Games also publishes bestinclass games working closely with our partners leading with Lost Ark from Smilegate RPG Throne and Liberty from NCSOFT as well as the next major entry in the Tomb Raider series from Crystal Dynamics.
Knowledge of and proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Photoshop Illustrator Fireworks and InDesign
Have an available online portfolio
Experience in gaming industry
Proven experience with icons menus mockups and wireframes creation
Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
Experience in delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer
