AI-Augmented Operations Analyst

About the Role

As an AIAugmented Operations Analyst your mission is to transform data into action identify friction in workflows and uncover opportunities to drive operational excellence using AI and automation. You ll go beyond dashboards and deep into systems building visibility accelerating decisionmaking and proactively optimizing how the business runs.

This is not your traditional analyst role. You ll leverage AI tools to supercharge your insights automate repetitive analysis and guide crossfunctional teams toward measurable improvements in efficiency cost and output.

Key Responsibilities

• Map and analyze current operational processes across functions to identify bottlenecks waste and automation opportunities
  

• Build and maintain dynamic reports and dashboards to monitor performance metrics SLAs and cost drivers
  

• Partner with operations and systems teams to design automation pilots (e.g. routing approvals notifications) that eliminate manual effort
  

• Use AI tools to assist in pattern recognition document analysis and insights generation (e.g. GPTbased summarization or error detection)
  

• Translate business problems into analytical questions and deliver actionable recommendations
  

• Track impact of improvements via KPIs like cycle time cost per transaction or operational error rate
  

30/60/90 Day Milestones

30 Days

• Complete a comprehensive audit of 2 3 operational workflows
  

• Identify 3 quickwin automation or analytics opportunities
  

• Set up performance dashboard templates using Looker GDS or Airtable
  

60 Days

• Deploy first automation pilot in collaboration with workflow leads (e.g. Zapier or )
  

• Present performance improvement insights to operations leadership
  

• Train internal users on new reporting or selfserve insights tools
  

90 Days

• Establish a repeatable process for surfacing and testing AIenhanced operational improvements
  

• Document results of first two automation cycles (time saved cost reduced or FTE hours freed)
  

• Create internal playbook for datadriven operational decisionmaking
  

Key Performance Objectives (KPOs)

• Reduce analysistoinsight delivery time by 50% using AI/automation
  
• Eliminate at least 10 hours/week of manual reporting via dashboards or scripts
  
• Achieve 2x improvement in SLA adherence or process throughput for targeted workflows
  
• Deliver at least 1 AIpowered recommendation monthly with measurable business impact
  

Requirements

• 3 5 years in business operations analytics or process improvement
  

• Advanced Excel/Sheets SQL and familiarity with BI tools (Looker Power BI Airtable)
  

• Experience using automation platforms (Zapier n8n)
  

• Exposure to or curiosity in AI tools like ChatGPT Claude or intelligent dashboards
  

• Systems thinker with business curiosity and an eye for operational waste
  

• Excellent communicator who translates complex insights into clear recommendations
