We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our amazing healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for treating pediatrics and be skilled in providing comprehensive care to children from infancy through adolescence. This role involves assessing diagnosing and managing various pediatric health issues while collaborating with families to promote optimal health outcomes.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including physical examinations and health histories.
- Diagnose and treat common pediatric illnesses and injuries.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients ensuring continuity of care.
- Administer vaccinations and perform routine screenings as per established guidelines.
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance disease prevention and management of chronic conditions.
- Perform minor procedures such as suturing when necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient records using appropriate coding practices for documentation.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care services.
Requirements
- Master s degree in Nursing with a focus on Pediatric Nurse Practitioner studies. (APRN)
- Current certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) or equivalent credential.
- Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology related to pediatric populations is preferred.
- Experience in primary care settings; experience in hospital or assisted living environments is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to engage effectively with children and their families.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems for accurate documentation and coding practices.
