Job Description

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Primary Job Role

Conducts all assigned work in a safe manner adhering to all applicable safety environmental and contamination control policies procedures and regulations. Wears safety glasses steeltoed shoes gloves ear protection and complete companyprovided uniform while in the workplace. Uses proper Lockout Tag Out procedures fall protection seatbelts in vehicles/forklifts arc flash protection and confined space procedures when exposed to these hazards.

Create fabrication drawings produce accurate DXF programs for shop equipment from design drawings revise drawings as required for changes needed.

Establish implement and manage an engineering database of standard component drawings on our cloudbased shared library.

Actively work with our sales and operations teams to provide solutions for our customers interface with engineers and production supervisors to complete all built drawings.

Builds and promotes the company brand including both Ring Power and Dragline Mining Specialists Division collaborating with other departments in sales services and operations.

Stay updated with industry trends emerging technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation. Oversee and consult on technical asset procurement and management for robotic welding cells plasma tables and any other relevant technologies. Manage all laser scanning equipment inventory calibration certifications and training for new users.

Provide Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) consultation ensuring welding compliance in shop & field weldments.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Formal Education Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or certification equivalent in a related field of study

Experience 5 years

Required / Credentials

Knowledge of DXF programs.

Strong Inventor/SolidWorks knowledge.

Experience using scan data of equipment to model and embed custom parts within.

Extensive experience and knowledge in manufacturing processes.

Extensive experience and knowledge in welding processes and science.

Extensive experience and knowledge in earth moving equipment.

Not Required but Highly Desired Criteria

Handson experience with steel fabrication.

Knowledge in metal fabrication processes.

CWI certification provided by the American Welding Society

Updating of Knowledge

Job requirements occasionally change requiring retraining to stay current every 35 years.
