General Function:
Under the direction and leadership of the Operations Supervisors the Operations Coordinator is an entry level position responsible for managing the use of airport facilities in accordance with established policies and procedures. Position assures continuous safety and security compliance with Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Parts 77 and 139 Transportation Security Regulation (TSR) Part 1542 LRAA Rules and Regulations in addition to all other applicable statutes regulations and requirements. This positions schedule is subject to working holidays and potentially extended hours beyond normal shift during emergencies or other unscheduled events.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with periodic daily and continuous airfield/facilities inspections for unsafe or noncompliant conditions to maintain compliance with PAR Parts 77 and 139 TSR Part 1542 Airport Certification Manual Airport Security Program LRAA Rules and Regulations and other applicable federal state and local statues and regulations.
- Issue facility work orders for noncompliant unsafe damaged missing incorrect or dirty conditions found.
- Perform regular inspections of terminal facilities ensuring they remain clean and regularly serviced by contracted janitorial staff document found conditions and observed performance.
- Assist with the issuance of Airport ID Media and keys to all necessary personnel in compliance with TSR 1542.
- Support the training testing and oversight of all airport employees operating on movement and nonmovement areas of the Airfield.
- Support the Airport Public Safety Department during all airport emergencies and security related incidents. Coordinator will assist with all activities between Public Safety and other airport staff document the incident impose the proper penalties and work towards restoring normal operations.
- Assist with twoway radio communications between LRAA Operations Maintenance Engineering and Public Safety departments to facilitate resources for airfield and terminal operations.
- Assist in coordination of airport facilities by air carrier air cargo military and other airport stakeholders to ensure the safety and security of the public airport tenants and airport staff.
- Coordinate and monitor all airport construction activities to ensure a safe and efficient operation. Responsibilities include but not limited to issuing Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) and facilitating irregular operations both Airside and Landside.
- Assist in implementation of airport programs such as the Wildlife Hazard Management Plan and the Snow and Ice Control Plan to include participation in snow removal operations to comply with all applicable regulations.
- Perform ground handling tasks such as passenger checkin bag room marshalling aircraft pushback boarding/deplaning cleaning and general operation of associated equipment.
- Perform passenger assistance duties such as wheelchair baggage and informational support and guidance.
- Manage terminal lines and crowded areas such as the airline ticket counters TSA Checkpoint gate areas and restaurants offering support additional stanchions signage reconfiguration providing direction etc.
- Perform and document tenant audits and inspections to ensure compliance with Authority expectations and contractual obligations such as hours of operation cleanliness professionalism and customer offerings.
- Assist with required securityrelated responsibilities such as random employee screening vendor/concessionaire/tenant vehicle and product inspections prohibited items audits and contractor escorting.
- Provide special event support and assist with customer relations events such as gate parties tailgates Derby activation etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two (2) years of customer service experience; OR an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
Work is performed in both office and outdoor environments and involves exposure to noise chemical and other contaminants moving mechanical hazards and extremes of temperature and weather conditions. Must have sufficient visual acuity with or without corrective lenses; sufficient auditory ability with or without audio logical devices; able to tolerate exposure to noise levels up to 120 decibels; capable of being on ones feet for extended periods of time and lifting 50 pounds unassisted.
