Job Description
SOLID WASTE COLLECTION ROUTE DRIVER
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS: STREETS AND SOLID WASTE DIVISIONS
City of Watertown Solid Waste/Streets team has an opening! This is a Full Time Solid Waste Collection Route Driver responsible for collection of residential refuse on established curbside routes. Performs handling and packaging of Recyclable items for shipping to outside vendors and contractors.
Commercial Drivers License required or obtained within 60 days of hire. High school graduation (or HSED equivalent) and oneyear experience in basic material handling/collection duties. Must possess and maintain a Commercial Drivers License with B and C endorsements and have an excellent driving record. Must be able to lift 60 pounds and work in various weather conditions. This is a fulltime hourly position with hours as listed below:
Hours from 6:00am to 2:00 pm Monday Friday
Starting compensation starts at $22.16.
