Unit Secretary Cardiac Telemetry Part time (Varying shifts 7a7p 7p11p)
Parttime Unit Secretary needed; Either (1 7a7:30p shift and 3 evening shifts 7p11:30p per week). OR (6 evening shifts 7p11:30p per week).

- Provides administrative assistance to the health care unit by managing phone calls and handling inquiries from patients families and staff.
- Maintains and organizes medical records and other documents as required.
- Maintains confidentiality of all patient data including verbal written and electronic formats.
- Utilizes various systems to access enter and manage clinical information including orders and requisitions summary reports and other information as appropriate. Utilizes electronic devices computer programs and applications as required and applicable to the role.
- Organizes the departments workflow by preparation of patient charts for transfer to other units or facilities according to policies and procedures.
- Greets patients and families. Demonstrates a professional and customeroriented appearance and demeanor at all times. Demonstrates appropriate verbal and telephone skills.
- Provides support and answers questions as appropriate contributing to a quality patient experience.
- Orders office and nutritional supplies equipment etc. as directed by manager.
- Maintains the order cleanliness and appearance of the work station.
- Responds and answers call lights in a timely manner and retrieves items including water blankets etc. as requested by patients and staff.
Qualifications :
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
- Previous experience as a unit secretary or a similar administrative role within a health care setting is preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in computer applications and electronic health record systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced and sometime highstress health care environment.
