Job Description

CANDIDATES ELIGIBLE TO APPLY: THIS RECRUITMENT IS AVAILABLE TO CURRENT ONCAMPUS EMPLOYEES ONLY.

CLASSIFICATION TITLE: Nurse Practitioner

UNION CODE: R02

TEMPORARY END DATE: This position is temporary and ends on or before June 30 2026. Any continuation beyond June 30 2026 is contingent upon satisfactory performance and available funding.

FT/PT: Fulltime

PAY PLAN: This is a 10/12 payplan designated position. Employees appointed on this 10/12 payplan position work 10 months of the year and receive the months of July and December off. Employees are paid an amount equal to 10 months salary over a period of twelve months.

If the position begins after June 1 2025 this position will be on the 12 month payplan at the rate indicated through December 2025 and will then convert to the 10/12 payplan January 2026. Then the first full months off will then be July and December 2026.

WORKPLACE TYPE: Onsite (work inperson at business location)

ANTICIPATED HIRING RANGE: $9500 $10033

  • However offer amount will be commensurate with candidates experience education skills and training.

CSU CLASSIFICATION SALARY RANGE: $6153 $11873

POSITION PURPOSE: The mission of the Student Health Services is to build a healthy campus community by providing quality caring cost effective ambulatory healthcare and health promotion services. As part of an institution of higher learning the Student Health Services participates in the educational process by teaching students the skills for selfcare promoting their health advocating for themselves and preventing diseases thus enhancing their academic productivity leading to a satisfying college experience. Services provided by CSU student health centers include but are not limited to primary medical care counseling and psychological services and sexual health education and support including provision of medication abortion services.

Under the supervision of the Director of Student Health Services using established standardized procedures and/or processes the Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide reproductive care and patient care which includes assessment diagnosis and preventative and health maintenance. The NP will provide services that are equitable inclusive and culturally sensitive to enhance the quality of campus life.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: MEDIUM WORK up to 40% of the activities involve sitting standing squatting kneeling or walking; lifting heavy weight objects limited to 50 pounds; may involve pushing and pulling objects within the weight limits.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens infectious diseases and hazardous materials.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:

SCREENING: Only those applicants possessing experience most directly related to the immediate needs of the office will be invited to appear before a Qualifications Appraisal Board for the purpose of appraising training experience and interest in the position.
