Food and Beverage Supervisor - The Drake Hotel

The iconic Drake Hotel is seeking a fulltime food and beverage supervisor to join their team! Celebrating over 100 years of elegance the historic 535room property is on the Magnificent Mile and in the famed Gold Coast area of shops dining and nightlife. It is a short walk from Oak Street Beach Water Tower Place and 360 Chicago!

The Drake is favored for weddings in the Gold Coast Room and home to the iconic Palm Court for afternoon tea once visited by Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Diana! Coq DoR one of the first venues to secure a postProhibition liquor license serves cocktails and comfort food. Cafe on Oaks counter is carved with the initials of Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio and the hotel serves their favorite Eggs Benedict in their honor. Room service is available from each of othe restaurants!

This position will support the Palm Court tearoom 2 to 3 days a week and the Coq DoR lounge 2 to 3 days per week overseeing a team of as many as 10 union hosts bartenders and servers. The ideal candidate for this position will have a great attitude as well as previous food and beverage experience and/or a hospitality degree!

Shift Pattern: candidates should be available to work AM and PM shifts as needed any day of the week/weekends/holidays as needed

Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour

What will I be doing

As a Restaurant Supervisor you would be responsible for assisting management in the direction and administration of a restaurant in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Supervise support schedule assign daily work inform and train team members in all restaurant activities and operations
• Monitor observe and assist in evaluating team member performance
• Support and assist team members in handling guest inquiries and requests and in resolving guest complaints
• Ensure compliance with health safety sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
• Manage and monitor product quality and service and satisfaction trends evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly
• Assist in monitoring inventory and inventory control #LIGL1
