Job Description
Turners Outdoorsman is seeking Range Manager to assist the Store Management in the performance of his/her duties. Follows the premise of being a committed team player responsible for achieving sales goals customer satisfaction and profitability growth as well as understanding practicing and being a strong proponent of the Turners brand and company culture. The Range Manager is a professional role model in attitude and appearance skilled in the art of communication and customer service. Archery experience preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Greets all customer
- Provides excellent customer service and displays exceptional salesmanship
- Create customer orders
- Ensure that there is always an archery scheduled during opening hours
- Demonstrates constant awareness of safety
- Maintains employees as directed in the Employee Handbook
- Keeps department presentable clean and stocked at all times
- Responsible for open layaway report
- Make sure all tech work is consistent to how Turners deems expectable (no exceptions)
- Make sure all customers receive same level of customer service
- Must always stay calm and professional with any customer service issue
- Works well with other managers and employees in a professional and calm manner
- Responsible for assisting in store merchandising changes
- Responsible for loading and unloading trucks
- Receives stock and merchandise
- Actively involved in promotions sales and events
- May participate in inventory tasks
- Able to attend training seminars including some offsite
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school graduate (or GED) required college graduate or some college preferred
- Fluent in English
- Prior retail or sales experience and cash handling preferred
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Knowledge about Hunting Archery orShooting sports is preferred
- Legally eligible to work in a firearms environment
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to obtain a Certificate of Eligibility
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to multitask and work in a face paced environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Responsible for loading/unloading trucks lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Must be able to use both hands when handling a firearm
- Must be able to use a computer proficiently and grasp instruction to new software programs
- Must be able to stand sit bend and lift throughout the course of a scheduled shift
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Occasional travel may be required (approximately 5% of the timeparticipating in events training seminars etc)
HOURS
- HoursvariedOT may be required
- Requests for time off may or may not be granted during blackout periods
