Benefits at Hamilton CountyDevelopmental Disabilities Services: Data Analyst A typical day in the life of a data analyst is both meaningful and dynamic playing a key role in supporting the agencys mission through datadriven insights. In this hybridremote position youll use analysis tools to identify trends monitor growth and track associated costs. You will also help shape how data is used across the agency by documenting and updating reporting processes to stay aligned with agency or rule changes. The data analyst will actively collaborate with program staff across the agency to understand data requests and provide relevant information for informed decision making. Job Duties (Summary): - Conduct comprehensive analysis and reporting on HCBS Medicaid waivers including enrollment service authorization utilization and related KPIs to support strategic planning and oversight of Level One Individual Options (IO) and Self Empowered Live Funding (SELF) waiver programs.
- Apply recognized statistical evaluative techniques to identify trends patterns and insights related to Medicaid and local program effectiveness client needs and service utilization within both Medicaidfunded and local support programs through use of tools like Excel or SQL.
- Analyze trends and anomalies related to reimbursement streams like Targeted Case Management and Medicaid Eligibility Reimbursement and associated eligibility requirements.
- Translate analytical findings into clear actionable reports and presentations for leadership board members and community stakeholders.
- Analyze program equity by identifying gaps in access or outcomes across demographic groups that utilize Medicaid programs local programs or community resources.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and data visualizations to make complex information accessible to internal and external stakeholders using tools like Power BI and/or Tableau.
- Assist with preparation and data interpretation of mandated reporting (e.g. Cost Report and other annual reporting) to agency partners like the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities and the Department of Medicaid.
- Collaborate with other agency departments (e.g. Finance Medicaid Administration) to identify and interpret crossprogram patterns and generate insights that inform strategic planning and support opportunities for agency growth (e.g. grant proposal data program sustainability evaluations)
- Partner with the Data & Analytics Manager to build refine and implement reporting processes that ensure accuracy timeliness and clarity in data outputs to include but not limited areas of Medicaid related supports and local programs.
- Create and maintain documentation on reporting metrics and processes.
- Stay informed about developments in Medicaid DODDs business intelligence platforms and Ohios developmental disabilities services to ensure reporting and analysis alignment.
- Support special projects for all agency partners or departments by providing ad hoc analysis and performance tracking.
- Provide training or technical assistance on data tools and reports.
- Serve as a liaison between technical and nontechnical staff to ensure data is accessible and understandable.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Requirements: - Bachelors degree required; degree in computer science data science analytics information management and/or related field preferred.
- Data interpretation analysis and visualization skills; Technical Proficiency: use relevant software and technology tools competently; proficiency in SQL R or Excel for statistical analysis and at least one visualization tool.
- Must beable to pass criminal background checks and various abuser registry checks.
