Education:
Requires a high school diploma an equivalent certificate or a bronze level WorkKeys certification.
Experience:
Requires a minimum one year of composite rework experience. Must successfully complete and pass the
Textron Aviation blueprint course prior to entering role.
Working Conditions:
Somewhat disagreeable working conditions.
Job Summary:
To rework rebuild and repair autoclave oven press processed and composite parts. May be required to
assist lower grade Technicians.
Job Responsibilities:
Works from blueprints rejections shop routers oral and written instructions to rework rebuild and
repair production aircraft parts where corrective action is necessary.
Determines best method of accomplishing repairs prescribed by inspection and engineering and
provide feedback and feasibility of repair.
Obtains tools fixtures and parts required to complete work. Uses a variety of hand and power tools
such as pliers knives files saws rivet guns sanders drills scrapers and precision measuring
equipment.
Mixes and applies various adhesives and compounds.
Occasionally improvises holding devices or shop aids to assist with rebuilding and repair.
Measures and lays out work according to relationship of parts.
Responsible for final sellout of parts to inspection.
Sanding composite parts to achieve required specifications.
Responsible for the quality of own work.
Performs other duties as required.
