Overview
Knowledge Services is seeking a remote Workday Report Developer for a contract through the end of December 2025 (potential for extension) with the State of Maine Office of Technology.
- Applicants may work 100% remotely
- We cannot consider any applicants that require C2C or that require sponsorship for a work visa
Responsibilities
Workday Report Developer Responsibilities:
This position will serve as a reporting developer for the State of Maines PRISM project a Workdaybased application.
The State of Maines PRISM project is a statewide effort in the final stages of implementation and requires a talented resource to develop and modify reports to meet operational requirements.
Work with the Reporting Lead and Reporting BA to prioritize reports for development and/or editing
Rapidly understand requirements to develop and test reports for external clients.
Work with agency subject matter experts to elicit reporting requirements
Work with users to ensure that solutions meet business requirements.
Troubleshoot reportrelated issues and resolve in a timely manner
Analyze and optimize report performance
Maintain documentation to satisfy internal/external controls
Develop and/or Edit identified required reports
Utilize project tools such as Confluence JIRA SharePoint to track work progress associated with the reporting workstream.
Test reports against requirements
Coordinate unit acceptance and endtoend testing of reports with client functional SMEs
Assist with knowledge transfer to functional teams as needed.
Execution of all responsibilities with little direct supervision of Team Lead.
Provide status of work to Team Lead.
Anticipate identify track and resolve issues and risks affecting own work and work of the Application Team.
Generally aware of new developments in industry and process and has ability to apply them to work as appropriate.
Anticipate and resolve issues specific to the team.
Determine time estimates and schedule for own work and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Identify and track issues risks and action items.
Plan all required process steps.
Review and understand the Application Teams workplan.
Qualifications
Workday Report Developer Required Skills:
MUST HAVE at least 5 or more years of Workday reporting experience
Workday Report Developer experience including building Workday simple advanced and matrix reports.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SQL.
Preferred:
Prior state government experience is strongly preferred
Experience with data mapping.
Report testing
Education of a 4year college degree or equivalent technical study.
Detailed functional and process knowledge.
Experience coordinating and collaborating with cross functional partners in report specification and requirement gathering.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and leadership.
Strong timemanagement problem solving troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment with minimal guidance and oversight and handle both planned and unplanned responsibilities.
Selfmotivated able to work in a teamoriented collaborative environment but able to prioritize work.
