Job Description
Location: Birkwood Village of Fort Madison ASSISTED LIVING
Position Type: FullTime / PartTime
Shift: 6:00 PM 6:00 AM including weekends and holidays as scheduled

Overview:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our overnight team. In this role you will ensure the wellbeing of our residents by administering medications assisting with ADLs and coordinating care. You will also be responsible for triaging calls from other assisted living buildings between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and regulatory guidelines
- Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing grooming and dressing
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate with appropriate medical staff
- Triage incoming calls from other assisted living buildings between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM offering clinical guidance and support
- Accurately document all care and communication in a timely manner
- Build meaningful connections with residents and contribute to a positive supportive environment
Qualifications:
- Current LPN license in good standing with the Iowa Board of Nursing
- CPR certification
- Previous experience in assisted living or longterm care
- Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
