A vacancy for afulltime Early Head Start Child DevelopmentAssociate positionexists within the Early Head Start Program in the Division of Student Services of the Chester County Intermediate Unit. This is a 260day position working with infants and toddlers and will be located in West Chester.

Qualifications:

CDA or Associates Degree or willingnessto attain CDA within one year required
Previous exprience working in a childcare/preschool setting preferred
Bilingual/Bicultural preferred
Current (within one year) State Criminal Child Abuse & FBI Fingerprint NSOR Clearanceclearances required
Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)
Two professional written letters of reference

Duties & Responsibilities:

To assist the Child Development Specialist in planning and executing early childhood activities
Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with adults and children
Assist the teacher in carrying out the duties of caring for children

Salary:
$35984/yr. $47216/year
Placement on scale based on years of experience*

Location:
CCIU Early Discovery Center
530 E. Union Street West Chester PA

Schedule:
8.0 hoursper day; 5 days per week; 260days a year
