About the role
As the First Nations Program Lead you will be accountable for the successful delivery of the TACs First Nations engagement activities including but not limited to the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and First Nations employment strategy.
As a subject matter expert you will advise internal employees on First Nations matters and engage with internal and external stakeholders to design develop and program manage the implementation of various initiatives for First Nations engagement. A core focus of the role will include cultivating enduring and trust based relationships with traditional land owners and their representative bodies.

This role sits within the Culture and Inclusion branch within the broader People Culture and Engagement Division which enable and support a highperformance culture where people are capable and empowered to deliver exceptional results for our clients and community so that the TAC is positioned as an employer of choice. Reporting to the Inclusion and Diversity Manager you will be supported by a team who live and breathe the importance of Inclusion and Diversity every day who deeply value lived experience and cultural safety. You will be joining a team who work collaboratively to execute enterprise wide initiatives and operate within a broader team of people focused on enhancing the employee experience for people of all backgrounds and building a high performing culture enriched by diversity in all its forms.
What were looking for
Demonstrated experience in managing First Nations programs and associated strategies through to successful delivery (including RAPs).
Expert understanding and navigation of the complex cultures traditions and histories of Indigenous peoples and the historical and contemporary issues impacting on Indigenous communities.
Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills
Proven stakeholder management skill including demonstrated experience in translating data analysis to a broad range of stakeholders including highly developed ability to produce briefing documents reports and communications.
Proven Project Management skills
Demonstrated ability to manage initiatives end to end from conception design development through to implementation and evaluation.
Highly developed written and oral communication skills
Strong communication skills including excellent time management prioritisation and organisational skills and an ability to meet tight deadlines.
